Tech Partner Ltd ("we") is the data controller for personal data collected through tech-partner.com. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect and why
- Contacting us by email. If you email hello@ or [email protected] we hold your name, email address and the content of your message to respond and, where relevant, to provide our services. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or performance of a contract for clients.
- Live chat. Chat is provided by Zendesk. When the chat is used, Zendesk processes the messages you send, your IP address and technical device information on our behalf, and stores an identifier in your browser so the conversation can continue. Zendesk acts as our processor under its Data Processing Agreement; data may be transferred outside the UK under UK-approved safeguards. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in providing support.
- Free domain check. Entering a domain name opens a report on emailsecurity.tech-partner.com, an email-security platform provided for us by PowerDMARC. The domain name you enter is processed by PowerDMARC to generate the report. That platform sets its own analytics cookies, described on the platform itself; we are working with the provider to reduce them.
- Site hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request data to deliver and protect the site and keeps short-lived security logs.
What we do not do
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own, does not use tracking pixels, and does not sell or share personal data for marketing.
Retention
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for up to two years afterwards. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for six years after it ends, to meet legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise any right, email [email protected].
Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, security headers, and hosting on Cloudflare. To report a security issue, see security.txt.
